As we approach the third anniversary of the OceanGate tragedy, our thoughts today, and always remain with the family, friends and loved ones of those who lost their lives.
Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its Marine Transportation Safety Investigation Report into the submersible implosion and resulting loss of life. We thank the TSB for its thorough and diligent work. As an independent safety investigation agency, the TSB’s mandate is to advance transportation safety, and we recognize the importance of its findings and recommendations.
Miawpukek Horizon and our Joint Venture Partners participated fully in the investigation, and we welcome the release of the final report. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational excellence for our employees, partners, and clients. We will carefully review the report and its findings, and we welcome recommendations that contribute to strengthening safety across the marine industry. Any applicable lessons learned will be incorporated into our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and safe operations.
